Derry Brother Wants £20,000 illegal Poker Jackpot Back

A Derry man who admitted, along with his brother, organising an illegal poker night in 2009 has said he wants to get the £20,000 jackpot money back.

Paul Quinn from Amelia Court and his brother Terence from Clipper Quay were given conditional discharges at Londonderry Magistrates Court.

The jackpot will stay with police until a Proceeds of Crime application is finalised.

Paul Quinn said he wants the money to repay their punters.

The £20,000 was made up of players stakes built up in a kitty that increased over the months before the jackpot night. "We do not have the money," he said. "Some of the punters have been angry - they think we have got the money."

Mr Quinn also said he felt "vindicated" by the findings of district judge, Barney McElholm, on Wednesday, who said he accepted there was a lot of confusion at the time about the relevant legislation relating to such a poker jackpot.

Judge McElholm ordered the police to return equipment and almost £800 to the brothers, but also made the order that the stake money should stay with the police until a Proceeds of Crime application is finalised.

Tips to Handle Shorthand Poker

Short handed poker (six handed or less) is quite different to free play (eight handed or more) so after the surviving the trials and tribulations of free play you must adjust your play (changing gears) to suit the new conditions. The fewer opponents you are playing the wider the range of cards are playable and the classic hands we would play during free play become power hands and should be played much more aggressively.

Poker Blog
I find that breaking tourneys into basic segments helps to keep track of where you are during the game allowing you to make finite adjustments to your play on the fly which is a key to playing strong poker, this also assists with post game analysis which allows you to isolates whether the mistakes that lead to your elimination were yours or your opponents. So the basic structure of a pub poker tourney is as follows:

1: Which is comprised of the first several sets of blinds usually up to some sort break in the game. During this period survival and observation are your two primary goals, the information that you glean here will increase your ability to grow your stack and out play your opponents in later parts of the game. Coin flips for all or large percentages of your stack must be avoided at all costs at this time.
2: Free play is the section of the game where the blinds are starting to get to be reasonable 200/400 or better and there is still usually 50% or more of the field in play. This is the time to go to work growing your stack using the information gathered in the first period, but be careful to avoid overplaying hands in this period because a crippling mistake this early can be tough to come back from.

3: Final two tables: During this section of the game it is important to be able to adjust your play to cater for an ever declining field. Caution is best as it’s very frustrating to make this far in a game only to give it away because you weren’t able to make the best of the spots available to you. Remember short stacks will be trying to grow their stacks for the final table so let them come to you and it is also a great time for trapping and applying pressure to the short stacks because of their increased activity at this time.

4: Final Table: If things have gone your way then you’ve arrived here with a fair stack and good starting position. First order of business is to note that all tourneys of this nature will have their prize and or points spread skewed heavily toward the deepest finishers so patience is key early on. As your opponents reduce in number and the prizes become larger it is time to open up a little, always noting the essentials like position, style of play, recent opponent behaviors, poker table betting patterns, pot value etc.

Remember player’s knowledge is power. Good Luck

Choosing a New Online Poker Site

When it comes to playing Internet casino poker or other forms of online poker there seem to be new poker sites popping up all the time. When someone makes the move from live poker to play internet poker there are a few things to consider, and a number of rooms, even US poker sites, to choose from. From online poker blogs to actual poker rooms, there are so many places to choose from it can be quite confusing. So how does one make the choice among all the new poker sites?

Poker Blog
Define What You Want
When you set out to play internet poker, what exactly do you want? Fodder for your game reports, if you run one of the ubiquitous online poker blogs? A chance at making some extra money? The thrill of victory? Just to while away time while having some fun?

Depending on what your reasons are will depend if you head for some Internet casino poker or play in a straight forward online poker room. Of course there are other factors that can come into play; many US poker sites, for example, are free to play sites, so there are fewer opportunities for money making, but it is still possible.

Poker or Casino Poker
Internet casino poker is something different from online poker - although the terms can be used interchangeably and for the most part the real meaning of the phrases will depend on the interpretation of the person using them. Internet casino poker could mean online forms of casino poker games, as opposed to poker played in a casino.

A casino poker game would be something like pai gow or Casino hold’em, a game where you play against the house instead of other players. Many new poker sites are not of this variety - you find them mostly in online casinos (as opposed to online poker rooms) and online casinos will sometimes be rare - they are rarer in the US than US poker sites, for example- online poker blogs may offer some help in picking out the best among them.

When you set out to play internet poker and you have decided which kind of poker games you want to play, it is time to look at the new poker sites and see if they offer the game type you want. If not, you can safely get them off the list. If so, then you can look at other factors such as playability, payouts, etc. Reviews and word of mouth from online poker blogs can help with that.

The best thing to do when choosing a site to play internet poker, be they US poker sites or not, is to sign up and play. Most sites will offer a free to play version that is very close to the full pay version, so that is the route to go. If it checks out security wise and has the games you want, then your actual play experience will be the final factor.

Poker – The Game of Betting

Poker is all about the game of betting. Betting takes place when you have a gut feeling that you can beat every opponent at table or when you know you have the best hand. Say you raise your game with an A-K before the real flop, you probably pulled a paid job of kings or aces.

People sometimes think that it’s really help the race, but they can’t even improve their hand. In the table, when you faced with three or more people, you can tell someone who prefers the flop. This is a concept in poker known as the underdog, and when the flop is not favorable to your hand, you are considering as the underdog.

However, if someone at the table does bet, you are free. You can forget about it and move onto the second hand. Now, there are nine unseen cards listed down, and anyone of those will make your hand complete. Also, if your hand is added to one of the aces or kings, you have a higher rate of winning the game.

Let’s say that you flopped a T (heart) – 4 (heart) – J (clover) so that it runs along with your ACE (heart) – KING (heart). Any of those nine unseen cards would make your flush the best, and on top of that, any one of those queens (the three non-hearts) would be making the best straight! An additional king or ace would be top dollar for you as well. You might risk putting in a lot, but you would increase your rate of winning everything back and a lot of more on top of it. Betting might make your partners fold, and then you would automatically win. There are about twelve cards that give you a perfect hand. If sometimes the ace or king would win the pot right off the top, you will have six other ones to help out for the rest of the game.

You are not the only lucky one in poker game. The ace or king would assist your challenger win as well. Also, if you think a certain card is going to get you that large, it might not sometimes due to the fact that the opponent has a chance as well. There is still much to learn in betting, and even the professionals have something to learn. Well, you know you can be a winner at the end of the night, when attached to your card and completed your hand.

Top 10 Poker Tips to Make You a Better Poker Player

Want to become a better player, fast? Follow these 10 tips to boost your poker performance & profits. While geared to beginner players, there's poker tips that even seasoned pros should remind themselves of once in a while.

1. Don't Play Every Hand / Do Fold More
Probably the number one mistake beginning poker players make is that they play far too many hands. When you're just starting out playing poker, you want to play poker, and that means staying in hands that aren't very good just to be part of the action. But playing more doesn't mean winning more, it usually means losing more. If you find you're staying in half or more the hands you're dealt, you need to upgrade your starting hand requirements.

2. Don't Play Drunk
Countless nights have I sat across a table from someone & watched them get plastered silly and throw away their entire stack of chips. I've been that person too - and there are nights where you're just playing with friends for low stakes and it's more about the fun than the poker - but if you're in a casino, watch the alcohol. The truth is, while you may be more relaxed after 2 drinks, it may lead to you playing looser and less sharply, even if one's not 'drunk.'

3. Don't Bluff Just For Bluffing's Sake
A lot of beginner's understand that bluffing is a part of poker, but not exactly how. There's is NO rule that one must bluff a certain amount or at all during a poker game, but many players don't feel like they've won unless they've tried a poker bluff. Bluffs only work in certain situations & against certain people, and if you know a player always calls to the showdown, it is literally impossible to bluff that player. It's better never to bluff than to bluff "just to bluff."

4. Don't Stay in a Hand Just Because You're Already In It
Another common mistake beginners make is to think that "Well, I've already put that much in the pot, I have to stay in now." Nope. You can't win a pot just by throwing money at it. There may be cases when pot odds warrant a call, but if you're sure you're beaten, and there's no way your hand can improve to be the best hand, you should fold right away. The money you've already put in the pot isn't yours anymore, and you can't get it back just by playing a hand all the way to the end.

5. Don't Call at the End of a Hand to "Keep Someone Honest"
This one follows the last tip. I see a lot of players look at another player's final bet, look at the hand, & say "I know you've got me, but I have to keep you honest," as they throw in a final call. It may be worth it to see if a player really has the hand if you're not sure & you're gaining information that will help you later on, but if you really feel a player has the hand he's representing & you're beat, why give him another pile of your money? Those bets will add up over an evening.

6. Don't Play When Mad, Sad, or in a Generally Bad Mood

When you play poker, you shouldn't do it to escape from being depressed or having a really bad day. You start out on tilt -- playing emotionally, not rationally -- and you won't play your best. Likewise, if during a poker game, you lose a big hand or get sucked out on and feel yourself going on tilt, stand up & take a break until you feel calm later on. Fellow players will sense your mood & take advantage of it.

7. Do Pay Attention to the Cards on the Table

When you first start playing, it's enough just to remember how to play and pay attention to your own hand. But once you've got that down, it's incredibly important to look at what's going on at the table. In Texas Hold'em, figure out what the best possible hand would be to fit the flop. Make sure you notice flush & straight possibilities. In 7-card stud, pay attention to what's showing & what people have folded when you consider calling opponents.

8. Do Pay Attention to the Other Players
As you play, one of the single best things you can do is observe your opponents, even when you're not in a hand. If you know if one player always raises in a certain position, & another has a poker tell when he bluffs, & a 3rd folds to every re-raise, you can use that information to help you decide how to play against them. Once you know that player 3 always folds to a re-raise on a river, that's when you can bluff & steal a pot.

9. Don't Play at too High Limits
There are many reasons people move up to a higher limit game than they usually play. Good reasons like they've been winning consistently at a lower lever & are ready to move up, & bad reasons like the line is shorter for higher limits or you want to impress someone. Don't play at stakes that make you think about the actual money in terms of day-to-day life or with money you can't lose. Even if you had one super-good night at $2/4, resist the urge to play $5/10. The next tip explains more why.

10. Do Pick the Right Game for Your Skill Level & Bankroll
One of the reasons you shouldn't jump into a $5/10 game after winning a huge bunch of money at $2/4 is because as the stakes rise, so does the average skill level of the players sitting there. You want to be one of the best at the table, not the fish who sits down with sharks. If you're making stacks of money at a lower level game, why move? You're winning stacks of money. The swings up & down at higher limits are much bigger, and one big night's win won't last long at a high-stakes game.

Online Gaming Industry

The online gaming industry hosts a festival of fun for adults, minor and casual gamers. No need to leave the comfort of our home for the local casino. Everyone in the world has the opportunity to play their favorite games at home without the stress that may arise when they leave, such as traffic, drunks and a lot of walking. Although the online gaming industry has been taken forward by right-thinking people and the governments it serves a purpose in our world brighter. As with all online games has good and bad points for the. Overall good by far outweighs the bad.

The biggest online industry concerns with people world wide are the threat of people being ripped off and also online cheating. It would be a stupid thing to say that this does not occur in the industry. Anyone making that statement would be contradictory to facts such as previous online gaming room scandals and proof of player collusions. Although cheating and scandals do occurs in the industry they are few and far between. The systems used by online gaming companies to track suspicious behavior are so advanced that they are almost impossible to break through. This is known to me due to my research into online gaming security.

In stating this fact and seeing very few new stories on the subject, we can know that cheating and scandals are of a minimum and that when it does occur people get caught. When we compare virtual casinos to the physical casinos of the world we can say for certain that cheating and colluding in games happen in both. There is not much difference. People will always chip dump, give signs and card count. People will always try and steal what they can. Thankfully these days this is hard to get away with compared to the earlier years.

Gambling addiction is a topic that is brought up in many a household and seen worldwide with new associations such as G.A. (Gamblers Anonymous). Many people believe that the online gaming industry is a focal point of blame for some of the populations gambling problems and addictions. This is a completely ridiculous thing to say. If a person is a gambling addict, if they can not help but gamble - they will go wherever they can to do it. Many persons suffering gambling addictions go to such extreme measure to gamble they put even their own children's lives at risk.

There have been many children found in casino car parks. The children have been left in their parents cars and are found screaming for their life as they wake from sleep to this terrifying act of cruelty which is fuelled by their parents’ addiction. Let’s imagine that the addicted parent plays in their own home via the service provided by the online gaming industry. Immediately this places the addict with family. Their addictions can be watched more closely and most importantly they put nothing at risk of harm (alike their children) other then finances which would happen regardless of their online casino gaming. The online gaming industry for the addict removes a lot of issues from their lives and in many ways CAN help them over come their addictions with the close eye of loved ones by their side.

Some people are professional gamblers. Their day to day job is to gamble and win money. Thankfully for these people the online gaming industry has provided them with another means to make their income. A smart gambler who gambles for a living spends time online more so then at casinos these days. It gives them more time to do their job by picking up their notebook then transiting all around their country of origin.

With certain tax systems in place in many countries the governments also benefit from the online gaming industry, they benefit in a big way actually. The money made from online gaming industry taxes goes towards health care systems and government agencies to make the world a better place to live. Again, without the online gaming industry players of all kinds would flock more then ever to underground casinos and illegal gambling holes where no one would gain benefit.

The online gaming industry serves many purposes for the world's population. Provides fun and entertainment is guaranteed and monitored and can reduce the risk of damage to the animated mouths of many people. This is a growing industry more broadly what is expected with all its benefits. One can only hope that the benefactors of the world that the two sides of the equation for the online gaming industry and to stop and think clearly about what contributes to society.

Online Texas Holdem Poker Tips

Texas Holdem poker has rapidly become the most admired casino poker game, both in land based and online casino site. Though Holdem looks and plays very simply, many professional players agree that it is the most complicated of poker games. Due to its complexity, Texas Holdem game can be kind or tough to novice players and whimpered old warriors alike. The action is fast and furious, with more players, bets, raises and re-raises than many other classic poker games.

When choosing to play Texas Holdem online, you need to adjust to some specific features of online poker rooms before throwing your chips onto the table. Even if you have some experience of playing poker in casinos or at home, there are still a lot of things for you to learn. Despite being two branches of the same game, with identical Texas Holdem rules and game process including the number and sequence of betting rounds, live and online Texas Holdem have some important differences, which can appear to have decisive meaning at the table.

Moreover, certain features and aspects of Texas Holdem game may vary even from room to room. What you need is to get used to online poker room software and learn to benefit from each feature provided by the poker room. For instance, most online poker rooms provide players with the detailed statistics of each game and each hand you play, thus helping you to analyze your games, spot mistakes and weak points to correct them in the future and thus improve your play. If you’re a novice online casino player, start with play money games or free play, or low limit real money games and take enough time to learn new casino room’s software before getting involved in tight and aggressive action.

One of the most important qualities of a Texas Holdem pro is an ability to keep to your bankroll. You must learn to stop, when you have to stop and don’t treat Texas Holdem too seriously until online poker becomes your primary income. First of all, don’t even think of depositing money you cannot afford to lose and don’t waste a monthly bankroll during a couple of days, even if you expect to win.

Split your monthly bankroll in equal amounts according to your playing schedule and strictly keep to this plan. Don’t even think of depositing your money that you need for life, even if you feel self-assured about your lady luck, or somebody is trying to assure you of success. Luck and misfortunes always go together and you cannot predict when they come, so you must not do things, which may result in a bitter and disgusting situation.

Texas Holdem is a very serious online casino game that supposes regulation and self-control. You must keep to a stern schedule without forgetting that you live in a real world, where you have your job, your family and your spare time time.

Poker - Skill or Chance

I have always wondered if in poker - skill or chance matter. In December 2008, the eastern division of the Danish High Court ruled that poker is a game of chance. There have been similar rulings elsewhere wherein poker has been defined by law to be a game of pure luck, where the player has very little chance to influence the gaming. Even the scientific fraternity has also challenged the long-held notion that poker is a game of luck, where instruction and strategy are immaterial - by showing that the card game is based on pure skill

In 2008, Michael DeDonno, a doctoral student from Case Western Reserve University, had 41 college students play eight games, totaling 200 hands, of Texas Hold'em, a computerized simulation of 10-player Hold'em poker. Overall most of the students had little experience playing poker. Half of the students in the first group were given charts that ranked the two-card combinations from best to the worst and also learned that professional poker players typically play about 15 percent of the hands dealt them. The other group was given background on the history of poker with no strategies. The findings were that students given some strategies and basic online poker rules to make decisions did better than those without the strategies.

To statistically verify the results from the first study, DeDonno conducted a second study, but had students play 720 hands. Again the group was divided into those provided with strategies and those with just a history of playing poker. While all students improved their playing with practice over the large number of hands, the group given strategies continued to do better than those without the added information. With this he was able to prove that skill wins out in playing poker.

Personally speaking I question the very idea of poker being a game of luck alone. It may take a couple of hours to learn a game such as Texas Hold'em in theory. Hand rankings and game play is pretty much standard save a few variations on rules and regulations. However it takes a lifetime of playing to really master it.

Poker - Skill or chance looks to be a continuing debate for me. The existence of professional players proves that chance is not the determining factor, skill and dedication is. In the game of cricket any and I really mean any idiot who can swing a bat has a chance of hitting the ball but only a few can use the bat as a professional can. Also one would not find countless poker strategy books or web pages devoted purely to poker strategies.

A poker game is not won merely by the strength of your hand. A poker player needs to consider a lot of indicators - tells, pot odds, probabilities . before deciding on a move. A brilliant player could even make a statistically incorrect play in-order to fool the opponents into thinking that he has a stronger hand.
So, Poker -Skill or Chance ? ....the debate goes on.

Betting Systems in Casino

If you have ever played at a casino before you have wondered at some point if there was some way to control the odds on a casino game to assure a winning bet. You may have even gone as far as penetrating for information on casino betting systems that “claim” to show you a method for beating the casinos.

The adverse reality is that the 99% of these systems are really fakes and there is no way to officially alter the odds of casino games (except in the case of using card counting) in the game of Blackjack which is a 100% legal strategy.

The idea of superstitions and “gut feelings” that so many players talk about in the casino is directly linked to what is known as the Gambler’s Fallacy, which is when a person assumes that an event is more likely to occur if it has not occurred for a long period of time. An example of this would be while playing Slots where the player assumes that the machine should be almost ready to pay out since it has not been won in a long time.

This assumption is of course inaccurate since we know that all casino games and especially Slots are completely randomized and each bet is independent of the next and will have no effect on previous or future outcomes. That being said, this concept is something that most players have trouble understanding which is why betting systems may seem like an attractive option, when in reality they do little to help win.

Over the years many different systems have been introduced for a variety of casino games with the goal of beating the house edge and creating a casino game with positive player expectations. Some of the systems which have gained the most notoriety include both the Martingale System (most popularly used for Roulette betting progression) as well as the Cancellation System which provides another method for bets. While both these systems provide a logical way for players to bet, the reality is that there are specific limitations (mainly bankroll size) that limit them from ever actually being effective during game play.

In general the best strategy that any casino player can use is appropriate bankroll management and strategy to ensure that they are only risking a defined amount of money each time they play. Utilizing Casino Comps is another popular method for getting a partial return on your wagers however this is usually just a small portion of your expected loss (usually around 20%).

While many of the betting systems on the market may seem attractive to use, they have been proven time and time again to be useless in beating the house rim over time in almost every single casino game. In the end while it is crucially important that each player understand the rules, strategy & odds for each casino game as this will give them the best possible chance for lowering the house edge.

Reminders in Playing Casino Games

Casino is a place for entertainment. It is full of electrifying games to play, and as well as the chance of winning large prizes. Most casinos have particular bonuses, or comps, to their players which magnetize even more people out there to have fun in casinos. In similar ways, online casino websites now become a prominent place for entertainment, particularly for those who could not afford a time to go to brick and mortar casinos.

Casinos and online casinos may not be an good place for someone who do not know much, and even lead him to exceptional debts and bankruptcy. Therefore, it is suggested that you should have some guides in playing your much loved land-based and online casino games.

Preparations for Playing Casino Games

If it would be your first time, or at least know very little about casinos, then the most common thing to do is to ask questions to those experienced gamblers. You can also surf for more information about casinos and online casino sites in the Internet. This will help you in getting familiar with the atmosphere and the ambiance of the casinos. You can also take a tour inside an actual casino, and ask questions from other customers, but don't disturb them or be a nuisance in their play.

The next thing to do is to learn about the casino games, such as slot machines, blackjack, poker, craps, keno, bingo, baccarat, and their corresponding rules. You can do it by playing on free online casino games from numerous sites that offer free casino games software. This could help you in practicing and getting more familiarized with your casino games, for the rules applied in online casino games are very similar with those in the actual casinos. It is also important that you should know some techniques on how to win in a particular casino game. Don't hesitate to surf for the best casino game tips and strategies, you can find many of them in the Internet.

Setting Your Budget and Your Goal

When you think that you are ready to play the game, you can now go to the actual casinos. If you have time and location restrictions, then you can play on online casino websites for your convenience. The most important thing, and you must not forget, to keep in mind is that you should set your budget in playing in the casino. Set the amount of limit that you can afford to lose. NEVER BORROW MONEY JUST TO GAMBLE! If you can't afford it, then just play free casino games online for your recreation. Never also spend your money in gambling when it would result to grave consequences in case you lose.

Your main goal in going to the casinos should be for entertainment and leisure, not to make money. Never aim for unrealistic amount, such as aiming to win a million dollars in just one night. The chances of winning in every casino games are relatively small, that's why it is enough to set a realistic goal, such as making your money double or up to 5 times its amount.

Going to the Casino

One thing to remember is not to go in the casinos alone. It is best to have at least one trusted companion, whether a family member or a close friend in order to remind you if you are spending too much money or too much time in gambling. Always bring your watch to keep track of the time, for there are no clocks in the casinos in order to keep the customers unaware of time.

Be sure that your mind is in a healthy state. Never go to the casino when you are drunk or you are very tired in order to avoid errors in your decisions. Never also gamble when you are angry or depressed so that you can decide wisely.

NEVER BRING YOUR CREDIT CARDS in the casino in order to avoid spending too much. Just bring your allotted budget, and spare some amounts in your pocket in order not to go home empty-handed.

Playing in the Casino

It is best that you should know much, if not all, of the casino games and their rules, as well as the casino's advantages in each game. Never play games that you don't know much, for it could take your money away without knowing how can that happen.

You must also consider that there are chances of losing, so don't aspire that you will always win. Always HAVE FUN in every casino game you play. This must be your main reason for going to the casino.

Limit your time in every gambling session, and take frequent breaks in order to refresh your minds and avoid fatigue. Also avoid most of the distractions around you, such as sexy ladies passing by or phones ringing. It is best that you have your trusted companion hold your phone while you are playing.

Never also spend your money in one casino game. There are lots of games to try, each with different winning odds. If you feel you are losing in one game, then try your luck on the other one. Never also bet all your money in one go, although it has a high winning percentage. This could end up to you losing so early. Bet small amounts in order to stay longer and enjoy more in the casino.

When You are Winning

If you are in a hot winning streak, never become overconfident with your luck. Most of the casinos take this opportunity to persuade you to wage on bets with high payout percentages but with very low odds of winning, or with bets with very high house edge and take most of your money. If you want, you can occasionally wage on these bets, but don't wage too much on these. Apply the tips and strategies that you have learned in playing.

Always maintain a low profile, for you do not know the people around you if they are fostering dirty intentions or not. That's why it is a good idea to have a companion.

If you had won a remarkable amount, keep some in your pocket in order not to lose all. Never play with all the money you had won.

When You are Losing

If you sense that you had lost a considerable amount, never aim to win it all back. Just let it be and have fun. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. That's the basic rule of gambling.

Never ever try to increase your bets when you are losing. This could end up very bad, for it could take all of what you had worked hard to earn. If you feel that you are on a losing streak, then decrease your bets and wage more on bets with higher winning percentages.

You must also know when you have to quit. If the budget you can afford to lose had been already lost, then you must consider going home and try your luck next time. NEVER PLAY OVER YOUR LIMIT. It is not a good habit of trying to win back what you had lost. It could result to further losses and outstanding debts, so decide wisely.

It is wise to keep a record of your winnings and your loses in each casino game in order to know in what game you are good at, or what games have higher winning percentages for you.

Casino Comps and Bonuses

When the casinos offer you comps, don't ignore it. You should join in their comp programs and avail the VIP benefits. Never also ignore the entertainment options, such as a band playing music or some stage performers. Be also kind to casino crews who cater you with your freebies and spare some change or dollar bills for their tips. Consider also checking for casino websites in order to be updated with promotional coupons and more online casino bonuses.

Conclusion

It is preferable that you know a great deal of important information about casinos and casino games to experience the fun and excitement of the casino. Maintaining good health of your mind and strategic play. The budget your money well and know when to quit and try a better luck next time.

Poker Trap and Psychology

Every One who plays poker has heard about "having a poker face" or capture. To have a poker face is more than just watch your face, your whole body language and actions combined.

A good poker player needs to be friendly in nature. He must learn to associate his opponent facial expressions, body language, speech, and even the stakes in what are ultimately found to have been held in the hand.

Facial Expressions: With online poker, you of course cannot use this. But in a real poker game you can. Start with the eyes. When they call or raise a hand, do they look down, to the right, to the left, at an object in the room? Then what did they have when they did that?

Do they smile? Grind their teeth? Immediately take a sip of their drink after or before the bet? Look for these things each time they call or raise.

Body Language: Do they play with their poker chips under certain circumstances? Lean back or forward? Look for things they do with their body and then what kind of hand they had each time they do that action.

Betting Amounts: Some poker players don't realize they have a pattern at all or they figure no one will figure out the "code" they use for themselves. Watch how much they bet, then what type of hand they had and see if you can associate particular hand strength with a specific range of bet or even a specific raise amount.

If you find a pattern where your opponent always does a specific action in relation to having a good hand or bluffing, you have their number and can beat them at poker easily . . . or can you?

The Trap: You can establish a pattern that will be picked up by the other players. Let it cause you to lose a little money here and there. Let your poker opponents think they have your number by doing specific actions associated with different hand strengths.

Don't let it cost you too much money and watch for the signs they are taking the bait and are using your patterns to beat you. Then you can rock. Wait until you have a very good hand and do the things he did when a bluff or if you had a lowest strength hand.

Your poker opponents will imagine they have you and bet the limit. You'll win what you lost and a lot more. Play poker much more than know how to bet the cards in your hand. There are a lot of psychologies involved, mind games, if you really want to play with the best.

Online Casino Gambling

Online Casino Gambling is probably the fastest growing industry in the web, with amazing rates of memberships, high frequency of related searches and thousands being pulled each day to place bets at their favorite game pages. There are hundreds of casino sites today that include in their package traditional gambling games and its different modern-day types, where there is not only one poker game to be played on the table, with online gambling sites, there are over ten games of poker kinds for a fan to choose from.

Largely though, online gambling is preferred because it can be played in the privacy of one’s own home, and there’s no need to dress up and drive to the casino. Also, no state rules like smoking that restrict anyone when playing in his own house, unlike in the real casino setting. The pressures of being in public, along with the demand to play the stakes like the persons you share the baccarat table with is absent in online gaming. Plus, the colorful variety of games to choose from are just a few clicks away with online casinos, while in real life, one need to leave the table and find the next one. Lucky if there’s an available seat! Now, why have online gambling survived this long and more sites are appearing in such short time?

One major reason is betting has become a fun, worthwhile activity, even for younger adults like students and kids recently out of high school. Betting online has posed the problem of potential addiction to gambling because of accessibility. But on the lighter side, betting on credit and withdrawing money from a nearby ATM pose difficulty of betting, allowing some time for a person to think whether to bet or not.  Most of these sites emphasize more on poker, blackjack and other all-time favorites, relegating the roots of internet gambling which is actually sports betting and horse racing. So now, more and more are being pulled to take part in the bustling world of online gambling.

Another reason why gambling in the internet is strongly gaining ground and increased following is it includes casinos. Nowadays, the glitz and excitement of casinos can be brought home, and gambling in your pajamas, gobbling pizza and smoking can all be possible! With high-quality software offered by online gambling sites, even professional gamblers are now enjoying it after knowing these sites offer huge bonuses, have high pay out rate, and have great customer support as well.

Many online casinos also offer free “practice areas” for beginners where one can hone his skill before proceeding to higher levels. On the other hand, top poker sites are raking huge profits with minimal overhead finance and unlimited table capacity. Indeed, the increase of memberships and players at online gambling sites are merely offshoots of the numerous benefits they’ve probably experienced themselves, or heard about. To state that online casinos are recession proof is now a solidly grounded theory arising from these facts.

Online gaming is now considered the fastest growing internet industry, moving like any craze or trend or mass reaction all over the world. But as it is also a lucrative business, it is most likely stay around for a long, long time. With this, it is advised for newbie’s and all online gamblers alike to really look into details of the sites and games to avoid scams. Online casinos may stay longer, but so does financial losses, if one is not wise and careful.

Online Gaming Industry

The online gaming industry hosts a festival of fun for adults, minor and casual gamers. Nor leave the comfort of our home for the local casino. Everyone in the world has the opportunity to play their favorite games at home without the stress may arise when they leave, such as traffic, drunks and a lot of walking.

Their addictions can be watched more closely and most importantly they put nothing at risk of harm (alike their children) other then finances which would happen regardless of their online gaming casino.

INTRIGUING POKER TELLS

A “Poker tell” is any physical reaction, kind of behavior, or habit that gives (or tells) the other players information about your hand. It’s absolutely crucial to pick up on “poker tells” on both live poker and online poker. Though, tells are more transparent on live poker, one could still extract tells while playing poker online. If you can accurately read your opponent’s tells, you’ll make the right decisions against them more often and win more money.

One of the key skills most good poker players have is the ability to read their opponents at the table. That is why you hear so much about “poker tells.” A “tell” is any physical reaction, kind of behavior, or habit that gives (or tells) the other players information about your hand.

On the other hand, poker players could refine and execute alternative attitude tactics at poker tables in order to desist their opponents from coming up with the right tells. Hence, poker tells could be intriguing workmanship among players.

A few examples of Poker Tells on Live Poker Games:

Table Talk: One could come up with an informative tell by closely paying attention to what his opponents are saying. Poker table talks are sometimes advertising impressions on your current poker hand whether you are aware or not, it is a costly mistake to talk much. Especially when you are at a table of players with excellent and exacting poker evaluation tells. By talking much that could mean you are holding a weak hand while when one suddenly become silent, that could mean he is holding a solid hand.

Eye Contact: looking at your opponent’s eyes is beneficial when evaluating tells. In most cases, players choose not to stare directly at their opponents when holding a monster hand.

Sports Betting Basics

Imagine a group of men cheering over their favorite team and bets being placed on the winning result. Every sport that you can think off has certain games that everyone's talking about; something that, according to sports buffs, will "Change the course of history." In sports betting spectators try to guess the outcome of a game. They attempt to guess who will win in the upcoming games based on which they bet on the winner or an outcome.

It might sound addicting, but sports’ betting is really just for fun and a way to bond with your friends. You can bet a little amount of money and still have a good time. Sports betting makes the outcome of a game more meaningful and the whole duration of the game more thrilling and exciting. Here are some basics to get you started on sports gambling.

To place a bet, all you have to do is go to a sportsbook, which is a place that accepts sports bets. Many of the sports you can bet on are professional and college football and basketball, professional baseball, professional hockey, and horse and dog racing. You can bet on anything that involves sports, really, after all, it is sports betting. You can bet on the overall combined score of a game, on what round will the opponent be knocked out, and even whether a coin toss in a game lands heads or tails. All you have to do is place your bet depending on the statistical odds (chances of winning/losing).

In sports betting, bookies rely on statistics to help you decide which team you think will win. There is such a thing called a "spread," which is a point advantage given to a weaker team that is expected to lose by X number of points. This is the odds maker's way of making even bets possible for a Sports Book. For example, if a person may bet on a team that is expected to lose, and still win the bet so long as the team loses by a given number of points.

You might be asked to bet a few notches higher than the money you may actually win. This is really just the bookie's way of making money.

In sports betting, there are different kinds of bets. There are straight bets, parlays, teasers, and over/under. In sports gambling the most common type of bet is the straight bet, where all you have to do is to pick the team which you think will lose or win. Over/under bets are wagers on the combined number of points scored in the game by both teams. Parlays are combined bets on several games. Teasers are similar to parlays, but you can add or subtract points from the spread to make your bets stronger. This is just to show you that sports gambling can be made more interesting and challenging by the bets that you place.

There you go - the basics of sports betting. Why don't you give it a try, and have a lot of fun in the process? Just remember not to get too carried away and check out all the statistics before you bet big.
